I googled like a ****, and cant find a decent article on how to replace them. Mine are POSITIVELY crappy. I have the battery out right now so I figure it would be a good time to replace them.. Just how do you do it anyways?? Cut them out, but i figured that would make the cable to short.. Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!!!! thumbs_u

Your best off buying new ones...however putting new ends on is an option.

I put new ends on my 89, however they are more likely to get corroded and have a bad connection than the factory put on ends.

I cut them back probably 1/4 inch past the old one...after I had new ends on and they were tight I taped them up real good with electical tape...all the way upo past the clamp bolts...then I put some grease ont he connections to the battery.

Hope that helps :D

Buy some lugs at a welding supply department. Get some "Penske" brand spring clamps at Wal-Mart. Solder/sweat the cable to the lug.
