Well, I found out that my Die Hard just Died. So, I need another battery. I was thinking Interstate Battery or Die Hard. What do you guys use, and what should I stay away from? Thanks

WOW! 1000 CCA. Is that bad for the SHO to have TOO much power? Or is it nice to have? What kind of battery dimensions will the SHO take? The most I've seen from a Die Hard and Interstate Battery that will fit the SHO is around 740 CCA. By the way, how much did you pay for your Exide Nascar Select battery? Thanks

Whatever you get go for a dry cell type, no acid to spill. We've got an optima for our boat and it's great. I think it's only 850 cca though.

I like the Exide Orbital tech designs now, but in the Monte Carlo I had a Nascar 1100, in the 93 SHO I had a Nascar 1000, and I have a sears diehard gold 900 (I think) in the 95 now. Far as I know, it only draws what it needs.

I need a new battery too and I have been hearing good things about a battery called "Yellow Top" or something like that. A guy at the local car audio place recommended it. $180. Anyone know what it is and if they are any good?

You gotta have deep pockets for those optimas! I was going to go with one but decided to go with the interstate instead. It fits perfectly & the last one was over 6 years old. With the money I saved I picked up my SHOSHOP CAI for $80 so it was pretty cool.

Use the optima "red top" for car starting duties. The yellow top is for a secondary trunk mounted battery for a large stereo system.

i have the yellow top optima, a shitload of power, pumps the stereo heat, all the accesories and my street glows and asks for more. its 2-3 times the money of a regluar battery, but last 2-3 times as long and has twice the power.

Plus you can drain an optima battery dead without hurting their capacity. A regular battery loses most of it's capacity after it's been drained once or twice.
