Good boy
I just recently got my SC car tuned. I drove it a few miles being fairly easy on it. Everything seemed to be ok besides some sputtering from bad plugs once it warmed up..
Then I started hearing some sort of bad puttering noise on my pass side, rpm related.. At first I thought it was the blower, but looking further, the noise seemed to go lower.
Got home, first thing I did was check the dampener. (A few months back I found some cancer forming on the old dampener, I replaced it with a good one, Ive drove many miles since and its been fine) The crank bolt was nice and tight. Then I took the rear belt off and spun the PS pulley, and WP pulley. The WP pulley seems to wabble slightly, but it spins with ease with no noise/grindage. Same with the PS.
I wouldve tried to run the car without the belt, but Im not sure that the noise wouldve came fast enough to not **** my battery. The noise certainly sounds lower than the alternator so I crossed out that too. I havent ran the car with the new plugs in, but Im sure (kinda) that its not knock related.
Ive heard the noise that a bad dampener makes when cancer starts, and it doesent seem to be the same noise. Is it possible theres' cancer forming even though the bolts tight?
Any ideas?
