I am back again to ask if anyone knows what this problem may be.... I have a clicking sound coming from inside my dash that sounds like a blinker relay. It does it non-stop when the car is running. I only have two problems in that area of the dash, Blend door and radio. Both currently do not work. I just bought this car about a month ago and I am trying hard to cast out it's gremlins. :banghd:

I don't really know much about the operation of the blend door. I am just speculating but if something is slipping it may do so until it reaches its neutral position. just a guess though. sorry I am just trying to help[ ya I know how frustrating it can be when no one can help.

Yes, it definetly sounds like your BDA. It will do it with everything off (well, not the engine, but all heater and a/c controls off), at least I know mine did. Very annoying. First of all though, I would run the EATC self test and see if you get a code. Instructions HERE

If you get a code of 2 then it is almost definetly the blend door. Kind of a long job, but there are writeups to help. There is one for a regular SLO in the How Too section of the forum, and I made one recently specifically for the SHO which can be found HERE or if your on dialup there is a version with smaller pictures HERE. Good luck!

thanks much. Do you know if there is anyway to disconnect it until I can fix it. Is there a fuse that can be pulled?

Not sure. There probably is, but I don't know if it just controls the EATC or other things as well.

On my '94, there is a 15A fuse in the #17 location in the fuse box under the dash. It controls the BDA, the A/C compressor clutch, and maybe one or two other climate control-related circuits. I pulled this fuse when my SHO's BDA went bad until I had a chance to fix it.
