I've recently purchased a '91 SHO for the first time and the clutch had been replaced immediately before the purchase. The problem is that the clutch adjustment seems too tight - even the slightest pressure on the pedal or sometimes even no pressure at all will cause slippage. Is there a way to loosen the cable and go through the auto adjustment to get the right tension on the cable? Or could there be something else wrong with it? Thanks.

just put your foot underneath the clutch pedal and pull up. you will feel it go up like 1/2 inch or so. then push the pedal to the floor. that should correctly adjust your clutch if your adjuster mechanism is working properly.

I've pulled up on the pedal several times... No help... Is there a way to remove the tension on the cable and adjust it again???
