Ahem....'scuse me.

Do any of you happen to know what the part number is for your instrument cluster surround?

Now that I have white faced guages I wuold like to accent them with the satin finished surround you guys get to have.

Only 99's have the Silver-colored panel face and it is not SHO specific.

You can remove the gauge overlay and paint it whatever color you want. It's really simple. If you've put in the white faced gauges, you can paint the overlay. I've got 2 pictures of my gauge overlay painted to match my seats if that would help you get an idea of what another color would look like. thumbs_u I don't have the white face gauges like you do though. Something silver finsihed like that would look really good. I saw that you can buy them for the 99's but won't that inhibit the transmission selector lights on mine?

I'm not sure if I want to paint it, but I have thought about it. What was the paint that you used?

Hmm, I doubt that ford would sell that part seperately from the gauge cluster. All I can see them is trying to sell you the entire cluster.

My fascia on the intrument cluster is day-glow orange. I just LOVE it! I had tried black, then white, and then grey. Nobody knew the differance and never said a thing. They could not have cared less. But put up the day-glow and they are extremely inpressed. Just a great SHO success story.

I checked Ford parts online and they list the part for the 99's to be $23.19.

I'm still a little concerned about the guages themselves, are the 99 guages smaller or larger than the 96's??

Does someone have a 99 that they can post pics of the instrument cluster?

I used a Ultra Flat (camo color) spray paint from Wal-Mart for about $2.50 I like it so far, but I think that I am going to have repaint it, so that I looks more professional.

Ahh, the miracles of fast-dry spray paint.

I went a slightly different route. Going to Wal-mart, I picked up the Plasti-kote model car enamel. This is an aluminum color, or a dark silver.

Since the cluster bezel is black, a couple of coats of the spray paint and I have a nice, gun metal color that looks awesome. I'm very happy with the result and for two and a half bucks, alot cheaper than buying a new bezel that might not work anyways.

Again, I will have picks as soon as they get developed, my digital camera took a shit a month ago or so and I'm stuck with using a regular camera.

With the white-faced guages, the aluminum look of the bezel fits right it, even if you leave the guage faces black, this color looks really cool with the rest of the car.
