I left them a message for you to get ahold of me. I hope that isnt a family friend or anything, because if so I feel bad for saying this. They are screwing you. I got my ATX rebuilt for 1700, and they had it done in about 4 days. From what they told me, your already over the 2k mark and thats too much, especially if they have had it this long. Not much you can do about that now though. Lessons learned.
Anyway, I got my motor dropped in at Bridge City Radiator. Good folks, and they were fast as ****. Once again, just about a week and they were done. I bought the motor from this place called Green Leaf. They have distributors everywhere. I used this online service http://car-part.com/ to find it. If your having motor woes too, I can only wish you good luck. Its all part of the love hate relationship with a SHO.
P.S. There is a part that is like a throw out or something for the tourque converter. Ford made it out of some crappy metal that they should have replaced with stainless steel. Start asking something along those lines and they might know what your talking about.
