I am about to change my spark plug wires. I am considering getting a set of universal high quality wires, cutting them and adding the boots to complete the set. Does anyone have any ideas on this? or is the best thing to get the motorcraft set.

Motorcraft seems to fit the best. I have used Taylors but they didn't fit as well as the motorcraft.

Spend the money up front on the factory Motorcraft wire set. Fits perfect and the wires are spiral wrap protected.
If you are really on a budget, the AC Delco wire sets also do the job.

Ac Delco wires - Cheap, and nearly the same quality as the ford ones. For $50 you can't go wrong.

The AC Delco wires are just like the motorcraft ones if not even better. They also have the protective wiring like the ford wires do.
