Hey everyone, I have one of those pressure testers that you rent from AutoZone, but it didn't come with any instructions. My dad knows how to do this stuff, but he's not here right now and I was trying to get a few things accomplished today.

I definitely have a coolant leak, and haven't been quite able to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from. So does anyone know the steps required in performing the test correctly? And is it alright to do the test while the front end is up on jack stands (so I can crawl underneath the car and see if I can't spot the leak)?? I don't know if having the car sitting level would have anything to do with the accuracy of the test. I'd appreciate any help on this!!

Thanks,
Andrew

All you do is put the tester on the rad cap and pump it up to pressure then look around for leaks. Doesn't mater if its up in the air either just as long as the cooling system isn't open.
