Ive never done it myself but i have followed builds that have. One thing is that the front and back of the woofer need to be completely sealed off from each other. I have heard that IB setups get really low in frequency but what the gain in lower extension they give up in dB. Are you on DIYMA.com ? If not i would look at the builds there you will find some tips most likely.

Yeah, I'm over there. I've done quite a bit of research, but I'm trying to get someone with first-hand experience to chime in and help me decide. I figured i'd post here to see if anyone's done one in our cars to get an idea of the sound I can expect.

it's an older Earthquake. it's not listed as infinite baffle, but the thiele-small specs say otherwise.

free air's just kinda sittin there, chillin whereas infinite baffle means the front and rear soundwave's are seperated from each other.

Free-air and infinite baffle are the same thing.

These set-ups usually require more power, are less efficient, and don't necessarily have great sound quality. Not an option I'd go with, but I've never built one either.
