I recently got a pair of new front inserts from Koni, do to some warranty issues. My old inserts (circa 1999/2000_ have the knurled collar at the top to locate them, while the new inserts have an extra metal ring to locate them up top. Also, the body length of the insert is about a quarter of an inch longer than the old body style. Also, these new inserts stay at a larger diameter near the bottom, and use a shorter bolt IIRC.
My question is, has anyone done a one to one comparison of these two insert styles? The larger volume of the new insert likely helps with some of Koni's high speed bump issues, on the other hand the longer body length eats into bump travel just a tad.
Thanks in advance - zak
