Just wondering... anyone in the KCMO/STL area have working knowledge of GEN II MTX SHO's? I've been down to FPS in Georgia. Doug took real good care of my 97 GEN III..... I just can't justify buying a GEN II if the repair bill comes with an automatic $700 transportation cost every time I want something double checked.

Ill try the same in the Nebraska and Iowa sections. Thanks in advance.

InkerTinker(SHO Dave) and Rooster(Jeff) are still in the STL area. I think James and Dillon have completely moved on from the SHO scene though.

Thanks for the quick response. Sounds like if I find something, I'm on my own until I'm ready to throw down some decent money on shipping. I've gained some pretty extensive knowledge on my V8 but know very little about the sportier V6. Any words of wisdom about what to look for in terms of weak points or common issues when driving one? (Im not worried about rust, thats just a sign of age)

If you see rust on the body be very careful. The subframe loves to rust at the mounting points. The less rust the better. The V6 cars are very reliable as long as you get one that has been maintained. For the most part, the trans/diff are the weak links. I have yet to experience a blown trans but I don't really push my car to the limit that often.
