I just pulled my codes on my 93 after some bad shifting once it is heated up. It felt like Deja'Vu and sure enough I had the 452 VSS code again, along with the 172/176 that Ive havent been able to track down for months.
The most aggravating part is that I paid almost 200.00 to have it replaced at a dealer just 20,000 miles/ 2 years ago. Anybody know why it could be shot already?
Its causing my idle to bounce around and stall when stopped and stumbling shift patterns when in drive. Strange though that my cruise control functions OK.
Ive read all the threads on it and it almost sounds like I should pay someone to do it, but I've already tried that once and I'm not really feeling like shelling out another 200.00 bucks.
So I'm gonna try to forgo it myself under the shade tree. Should I go through the top with the intake removed, through the wheelwell, or from underneath and dropping the y-pipe.
Thanks as always people at shoforum
