i got a call saying my 12" sub w/ enclosure was in
i payed in advance - $105
i got to the store and go to the pick-up counter
the guy behind the counter said to go to mobile entertainment(back of building)
i go to the mobile entertainment and they send me back to the pickup counter

story short:
bought sub - they had to get it in from Madison
they call, saying it's in
it isn't there - it's in downtown Milwaukee and someone else bought it

they're *trying* to locate another for me

after a week of waiting i get a call, and they sold it to someone else at a different store
i got the call and headed immidiately over there (took 6-7 minutes) and it was sold

my lesson here: American SUCKS

after two weeks of waiting, they finally gave me the box with my stuff in it

i opened the box and all that was in there was the enclosure

i went back today to fix the problem

i showed them the sign with the price on it saying that both were for the $105 that i paid

they said it was the box only and the sub would be $160

i said i'll take an even exchange... enclosure for sub

after another 30 minutes of haggling, yelling, and such, they finally agreed to it

now it's in appleton and won't be here for another two weeks

i asked the salesguy BEFORE i paid for the set and he said that they were, indeed, a set

that salesguy is apparently no longer working at the store

lesson: make sure that you're getting what you paid for before you actually pay for it - and make sure to ask someone who won't get laid-off/fired
