I picked up one last year for a Gen 2. It was made in China as well and looks similar to the one on ebay (but different mounting). I wonder if the same company makes them and they are just resold by different vendors. I got mine from Rockauto that had a better price for the same radiator that was on ebay. You can look at the pictures in the thread below, I thought it was pretty decent for what I paid.

I haven't gotten around to installing it yet as it is going into a SHO that currently sits parked in my garage (long term). Chad has been running his for six years so perhaps he can better comment on this. There are slightly more cooling fins (per inch) when I compared it to a standard Napa radiator. If you zoom in, you can sort of see how much denser the fins are on the aluminum radiator

I'm not sure if there is a big difference in cooling efficiency or not, but eliminating the plastic would be worth it to me. I haven't heard much (none actually) bad feedback from the cheap priced ones over the years either.

Well It's installed im very happy with the quality. I was nervous and debating pressurizing it to test it. but i bit the bullet. it was a direct fit with the exception that the pass side L shaped bracket had to be trimmed.

Paul was right my old one did seperate and could of have been crimped it seems. I did see some small cracks in the reinforcing part on the plastic tanks but didnt appear it was leaking because of a crack.

I've been looking at the aluminum one on eBay for a while. If it was built more efficient than the stock/plastic ones I would buy it. Hope this one works out good for you!

The connections for trans oil wasn't a prob ? They are coming by the side rather than behind like the stock one.

They are in the same exact location. one thing worth mentioning is that the threading is wrong my stock trans cooler lines would not thread into them.

Not that it matters to me I just by passed it and looped it for now until i get my after market cooler.

Do you know the 1st and 2nd gen radiator fans are mounted the same way? Sorry if this is off topic. I am trying to find a replacement radiator for my first gen and would like to not deal with the plastic tanks.

You can find all aluminum radiators for the GenI/II cars. I know ebay usually has some and you may also find some at the internet aftermarket radiator companies like radiators.com or other popular online sellers.
