Airbag light blinks 3 times

What does this mean. It will give a series of three blinks and then a pause

Also the ABS light is stuck on perminatly. Ive done a search but did not find any specific material on this...

Does it stay on or go off. If the abs light is on, i think that means that its been disabled.

Do you have a proper factory Ford shop manual? Either on CD or printed? With that many SHO's you will really get a lot of use out of it.

Okay here is the sequence for the AIRBAG light:
blinks three times (lights up), then goes off for a second (an obvious break in the code). This cycle continues forever when the car is running.

The ABS stays on, doesnt go off at all.

Yes i do have the helms manual it has come in very handy...Unfortunatly it is for the 89 year SHO which did not come with ABS or Airbag frown

I will assume you are talking about your 90. The following is from the 90 Helm manual.

1st. Visually inspect 16 gauge fusable link in circuit 38 (BK/O [black wire with orange stripe]) for any damage (fuse link attaches to starter relay). See the wiring diagrams so graciously provided by Bizzy! thumb

If fusable link is blown disconnect the battery AND the BACKUP power supply and repair the short to ground, and replace the fusable link.

next, check fuse no. 7 (15 amp)

Is the fuse blown? If yes, see the above, find the short, and repair.

Do the above first, and if the problem is elsewhere get back to us. I'll walk your through the rest of the tests for three flashes. rangerj
