I would take a look at the actual clockspring and get numbers from it and then look for supercede. I forget but something in the memory bank says this might be limited to production plant on the number. Message Chad and confirm this. Keep posting what you are able to figure out re: part and repair for future. I also remember something that was done to make another unit compatible or an aftermarket unit... I don't remember if sdpatt was the original poster or posted inside a thread. That was so many years ago.

OK, looking at my current clockspring may be a good idea. I know some years of SN95 Mustangs had that going on based on assembly location. This will delay me until I get the car currently in pieces in my "spare" garage bay out so I can disassemble the SHO and leave it apart and inside while I look for parts. It's getting to the end of snow season and the beginning of hail season in Colorado.

Double check that mfg location premise for accuracy. I remember alot of stuff but sometimes the details aren't 100% this many years later.

I took apart the DOA '95 airbag module I bought from a member here... He's been 'Crickets' since I let him know it was DOA...

Clockspring pics are likely a week or so away.

Ok, here's what I can post for the '95 SHO Airbag diagnostic module starting with the p/n on the blue module case and some pictures of the thermal fuse assembly. The "fuse" is actually 2 components clipped together with a copper clip and then a black & white plastic cover over that. The cover has a Ford p/n F2DF-14A094-AA. I'm not an electronics whiz, but is the part with the green end the actual fuse? Not sure what the other black piece clipped to it is. Since it is a F2 number would it be the same fuse assy for all Gen 2? Anyone know what these two components are called and where I might buy them?

I remember maybe microcenter, mouser, and maybe digikey? I'm not sure how to get the right part number. You would need original spec and then try and match it. A frustrating thing about the module thermal fuse blowing is you have to correct the reason it gets set off or it will continue to blow that thermal fuse.

It's been a minute - finally replaced the clockspring. Put in my old airbag diagnostic module. Code 34. Grrrr. Plus the new clockspring is taller/thicker than the original so the steering wheel now has a ~3/8" gap to the column.

Next time I started the car Code 35! WTF??? that has nothing to do with the clock spring - it's the passenger airbag. Went for another drive error code 41 like before. Car sat for a few days before I used it again to run an errand, back to code 34. On the trip home it was code 41...

The only thing in common for all three codes that I can see in the shop manual is the diagnostic module. I'd prefer not to take a chance on an unknown module having the blown fuse, which pretty much leaves out the scores of modules offered on eBay... (And to be fair the person on this forum did, eventually, refund my money for the bad module he sold me)

Anyone know a source of tested, known good, used modules?
