I dont have a V8 sho yet but i was thinking of buying one. But question is can an aftermarket cd player be installed into a 96 to 99 sho? I know the climate control and foctory radio is connected. Has anyone ever instaled one? If so please let me know how.

Best Buy sells a CD changer called a Neochanger. It comes with a bunch of different adapters and one of them is supposed to work with the stock system. It's a 10 disk unit and it also plays MP3s. Bonus!

I got an Alpine 6 disc in trunk + install for $400 and I can use my stock radio system and everything. As far as I understand, Alpine is the only company that offers an aftermarket one that will work with stock aplication. It's not hard to install your self if you want to, but my install was included with the price so I went ahead and let them do it.

You can also go here and get a 10 disc that will plug in and run. Only thing to watch for is I guess some Gen III's don't ahve the CD controls on the radio head (ICP)

They also have a 6 disc for $10 less which would be an easyt choice for me...
