Hey this isn't really a problem for me as its just my curiousity as of why it happens, but when my 95 SHO almost comes to a stop, i hear a groan (probably the ABS) and the brakes grab which makes the car come to a hard stop. It happened alot today in stop and go traffic and usually happens when i pull into a parking spot. It really doesn't happen all that often.

And it only started after i changed the brake line distribution block in the engine compartment last summer. Any ideas? Thanks

First question i have to ask, is the ABS light on?? If not, then i wouldn't worry about it. From my experience the only thing that really trips the light is a bad wheel sensor, usually from having the wheel bearnings done, or some other work in that immediate area. (although i've heard of the computer going bad due to heat/ blown radiator hose..)

From what you described about changing the brake line, i would say it has a bend somewhere it shouldn't. Hopefully your master cylinder isn't shot!

I have the same thing happening on my 95 following the replacement of all brake lines front to back last spring .. The ABS actuates just prior to car coming to a complete stop..NO ABS light..and only happens when pulling into a parking spot..I've done numerous panic stops and the ABS works just fine under those conditions..have checked the front ABS sensors and they are fine, however the ABS axle ring teeth have seen better days in their 15 years of service..

Yep you hit the nail on the head. No ABS light on. Its not a major problem for me. Just wondering if it is something i should worry about or a simple fix.
