90% of the time I come to a slow rolling stop the ABS is kicking in. I had a couple of close calls. As long as i pile on the brakes it stops. checked the fliud and no warning lights are on. Any ideas?
Pull the wheels off and check the ABS sensors. They look kind of like gears attached to the spindles. If one of them is cracked, it will cause your ABS to kick in when it shouldn't. That's my best guess as to what the problem could be.
I agree, it's a cracked sensor ring. I've had two crack on me over the years. This post is moved to maintenance and troubleshooting-suspension, brake systems and body.
