ABS grinds after starting the car

On my 92' MTX and 95' MTX, I've noticed that after I start the car and start driving down the street, i hear a little grind for about 1 second. I'm almost positive it's the ABS system because if I keep my foot on the brake it wont grind until I let off the brake. Plus when I do that, I cant feel it throught the brake pedal. Is this a normal ABS-self test or something along those lines? Thanks

I think its normal. Its part of its self test. I have never noticed it but I have read something about it in the manual. Take a look and see if you can see it.

Yea, I assumed it was a normal thing. Is there a procedure for testing the ABS. I noticed that there's an ABS-test wiring harness right next to the EEC test harness. Just wondering. Thanks

i dont remember the details, but at a predetermined speed, the ABS switches modes.
