on my 93 atx i have an idler pulley thats extremly loud. probably from there being no grease in it. the car sat for like 9 months so i was just wondering if theres a way to re grease the pulley or should i just go out and buy a new one?

I had what I thought was a loud idler pulley. After replacing it, I still had a loud 'something'? It turned out to be the A/C compressor bearing. About $250 bucks later and a freon recharge it was fixed. Hopefully it truely is just your idler pulley.

If you have indeed pinpointed the source to the idler pulley, then the bearings in that pulley are bad.

There was substantial discussion and effort this past winter about obtaining replacement bearings vs replacing the pulley ($100+). I don't recall the exact outcome as to whether or not a proper replacement bearing was identified. Perhaps one of the participants will chime in or you might located the discussions. Try looking for discussions containing "idler pulley bearing".
