First off, I have never ran Castrol GTX in my SHO, not the 89, or this 93.. I am a little optimistic on switching to it (even after the GREAT pics).. I have always ran Valvoline Durablend, or Valvoline Syntec (full synthetic) But on this 93 it looks a rather dirty inside the oil fill hole.... I dont know what was ran in this before me, but if I switch to Castrol, will it clean it up inside, and will it help?? is it REALLY the best oil?

It's all a matter of preference, although Castol GTX is an excellent motor oil. Just my opinion of course.

Many oils are good...you just have to keep up with regular changing of it. I run Mobil 1 and believe everything runs quite well with it. Amsoil is also a very good oil but quite expensive.

this is more a question, is it ok to use 10w-30 Mobil 1 synthetic? I ask because my local BJ's sells it for 13 bucks for 6 qts.
thanks

I consider 10-30 Mobile to be preferred, especially since it is a synthetic and the 10 weight of that is about equal in viscosity to the 5 in regular oil. Best not to use 10-40 as so called "improvers" are added, which have negative effects. Mobile 1 is one of the very best without ripping off. I have used it since it came out around 30 or more years ago, found it as good or better than others.
