97 SHO on Craigslist

So i went and took a look at the 97 SHO in festus last night. The guy bought it in october from someone else, when he bought it had a clean title on it. When he sent in the title to have it switched into his name, it came back a salavage title. So I have lost intrest in the car now, other than that the car had some minor paint issues, the engine sounded ok, but would need a once over. It drove fine, very tight steering, had all the power it should have. The only down fall is the guy wants $3700, and may only goes as for as $3500 due to him wanting to get what he has into the car back.

if he doesn't get that salvage title fixed, the car is more likely to rot then sell. Is it registered and insured (street legal)? Not sure how that works in IL.

He's high. 3700 is over plus a salvage title. Ninjas love them a V8 Taurus though...
