96 sho engine no compression on one bank

i have a 96 sho engine complete in my shed.when i took it out it had no compression on left bank all cylinders.still ran.no banging or clunking. what do you think happened? had 95000 miles on it.

Two words: Cam Failure.

Basically, the motor will need (at least) one new cam, 8 new valves/guides/seals, new headgasket and bolts, and time. There's still a possibility of a cracked piston or rod, or worse if a valve head broke off the motor is basically toast.
