It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of my beloved SHO. After 14+ years and 145K miles of epic transportation, she succumbed to a diff pin casualty. The transmission is toast.
Vitals:
’95 SHO MTX with 175K miles, green with tan interior. I am the second owner, bought it in ’97 when it had ~30k. I have religiously changed oil every 2500, except for a couple of coast-to-coast drives (military moves) where it went ~3k. At 2500 miles, the oil is still yellow and still full on the stick. The engine is tight.
Just tuned it up 500 miles ago. New plugs, belts, thermostat, cam sensor – even some new wipers. New CPS and timing belt last year/10k ago.
Recent radiator and top/bottom hoses (3 yrs/25k miles ago)
I installed a “SHO Shop Power Stage II” package on it in ’02. Goodies are underdrive pulleys, 80mm MAF, chip, hi-flo y-pipe, larger butterflies and K&N filter. Since that time, I’ve averaged 25mpg daily and 30-ish mpg on interstate drives.
All body panels are good/excellent. No rust except for a small paint bubble on the driver door – a spot that was touched up by the original owner. All glass is good, windshield has one or two chips.
Interior is rough. The seats are ripped; after years in SOCAL, the VA winters led to cracks in the leather. Headliner is also rough. Carpet is good.
Bottom line – this has been a daily driver and well cared for. All it needs is a transmission, but I do not have the time (or spare funds) to tackle the project. I am moving back to SOCAL this spring, so sadly I must part ways with the Green Machine.

Me too. Other than the trans, sounds like a solid well cared for car. Somebody needs to buy this and put a trans in it.

Matt - I had the reserve at $500; someone has met the reserve, so it will sell. I was hoping for something around 800-1K, but we'll see. Hopefully some industrious folks out there have their tax returns already. :)

Also forgot to add - new master cylinder a couple of months back.

I wanted to advertise it on here for a while before it went the eBay route (because I thought it would go to a better home), but things changed. I was supposed to be here until June, then three weeks ago I get word that I'm transferring ASAP. Ugh...
