Hey, anyone know where I can purchase a tranny pan gasket asap for a 95' ATX? All the trans fluid leaked out and I'm hoping that when I get a chance to look under there tomorrow to find out where it leaked from it's just from a bad trans pan gasket! It seems to be leaking from the back drivers side of the trans pan! If it's internal, I'm just going to have to take the engine out and put that engine into my 1993 ATX....I guess!

Thanks!

Yeah, right! Anyone know which one the 1995 ATX has? Is it an AXOD tranny? Shell I just get under there and count'em for myself?

You can just go to Kragen, Napa, Autozone...or whatever, and ask for a trans filter/gasket set for a '95 ATX SHO. They usually have them in stock.

the 93-95 AX4S (AXODE, same thing) has a 17-bolt pattern. The 96-99 AX4N has the 19 bolt pattern. Yes, this is confusing. Yes, it took me nearly 6 months to figure this out, so don't feel bad!

Thanks!

Just assessed the leak and it's coming from the connection between the engine and the tranny; so it's internal which means the tranny has to come out. I think that I'm just going to have it removed and replaced and go from there and hope for the best. Maybe while the other tranny is out, I'll rebuild it and either keep or sale?

Sucks!:nut:

So, What's a good price for a used working transmission? I've been quoted $1200 Total for remove and replacement. Good? No rebuild involved.

i just rebuilt mine for 460 canadian, not including torque converter, thats another 200, seems alittle high for a used unit. if your mecanically inclined i would rebuild your current one, seems the best way to go.

It's $1200 for a used tranny and labor. I plan on rebuilding the one that's in the car currently when it comes out and either selling it or keeping myself.
