I took off the plenum all in one piece unbolted the ports for the EGR valve and cleaned them out. I also pulled the valve covers and replace the gaskets because I was getting oil in the spark plug wells. I put everything back together correctly I'm pretty sure. I put tape on things labeled everything and got in back together no problem. But when I hooked the battery up and went to start the car as soon as I turned it past the "on" position everything went dead completely nothing lit up nada. Then when the key returned to the "on" position everything came back on as if nothing happened. I'm confused as all ****.

If you took the battery out(for some reason) check the ground(s)...check the DIS grounds and connections. Sounds like a ground issue to me, but I'm by far not an expert...someone will chime in that knows the deal

Never took the battery out buit I disconnected the ground cable from the intake plenum because I had to remove it in order to pull the plenum off. I just tried taking it off and reconnecting it and still the same thing happens. I have to be at work in an hour and a half to.

Clean your battery cable connections and make sure they're torqued properly. You may also want to check the connections at the starter, but I suspect your problem is due to a loose/dirty battery cable preventing sufficient amperage to turn the starter. Were you experiencing any starting problems (even intermittently) prior to the service?
