Much thanks to steve for solving the ignition coil fuse blowing problem.
Just ran the codes and here is what I got (Key off - engine not running):
327 - EGR feedback signal is/was low
542 - Fuel pump open bad ground or always on
The fuel pump is noisy - could it be on its last legs?
I will run a search on the egr code - im sure there is a way to clean it
-Observations while engine was running:
After starting the engine a second time (it was warm) (and same thing happened when it was cold) the idle speed initially jumps up to 1300 and stays there for about 30-40 seconds until it suddenly drops down to idle - sounds like a BOV only much more quite - engine remains smooth - then its fine. After you can rev it and it will go right back down to idle. Could this be an AIB (idle valve) valve issue?
The check engine light flashes every now and again, perhaps 10-20 seconds between flashes - what code would this be related to?
