Ok, so my buddy has a 1990 454SS Silverado. He raves and raves about it but whenever I ride with him it usually just burns out the tires and can't grip very well, and it must be as heavy as a tank. I'm just wondering how I would fair, we are both pretty much stock.

I watched a special about those and lightnings, and after seeing that you should rip him a new one. I would probably go from a roll though

Back in Michigan ... again.
They're all low-end torque, hence why they spin silly.

Provided your SHO is in good running condition you should win the 1/4 all day long, doesn't matter if it's from a roll or dig.

You won't have a problem passing him when he has to stop at the gas station halfway through the race.

i dont know.......you could challenge him from a dig. with him having all that torque and no weight over the top of the wheels to keep the wheels down, he should just spin em'. what im trying to say is that he most likely wont have a good launch

Yeah I agree. Especially because he has a roll pan on it. Idk, it just wouldn't be worth it for me. He gets like 8mpg.
