93 ATX runs bad when hot???

I was wondering what would cause this? Tranny going out or something simple? If I drive it on open roads or dont do alot of stop and go she's fine but city driving or when it aint getting air it runs bad.( Any help would be great )

Radiator possibly clogged in areas? Bad hoses?

i'd trying flushing the system

Perhaps you should get a trans cooler.

It runs bad,shifts funny,sometimes it takes along time to shift out of gear mostly lower gears then once it gets going and gets air it will shift good untill I have to do more stop and go driving.

Are you sure that the radiator fans are working? If not, check the fan motor and the ECT switch.

I checked when it was idling I couldnt see the fans spinning but I could hear something turning on but the temp. stayed pretty much in the same spot,but the car never overheats or anything so I have no clue.
