Could someone tell me if I can replace my '90 3.0 MTX (stuck) with a '93-'94 3.2 from an automatic car? The only spare engine that I have is a 3.2 out of a 1993 ATX car. I have the correct PCM for the car. I would appreciate any help and suggestions from members with this type experience.

Thanks for such a great site for a new SHO owner!

engine swap

I know this swap is possible with minor modifications. try the search service of the forum.

One approach I believe is to swap the 3.2 bottom up through the lower intake, and use the 3.0 upper intake and sensors, etc. from the recipient car.

Best of luck,

Or no need to open the heads. Cut off a small section of the front head to accomodate the alternator, swap over timing belt tensioner, accessories, oilpan and motor mount locations and you're good to go. Drill and tap a hole to mount the coilpack or retain 3.2 plug wires.

Great for torque, especially of the low end type. :thumb:
