no spark can be due to any of these parts being bad: crank sensor, dis, pcm, coil pack, etc.

it can also be caused by poor engine grounds, blown fuses, etc.

do you have any codes?

is there a way to check it my self?

yes, see shotimes.com and follow instructions. make sure you connect the jumper to the right pins on the connector and you'll be good.

With an oil leak, and a missing waterpump bolt, I'd say you need a crank sensor. They are probably leaking right down on top of the sensor.

What is the easyest way to change the crank sensor ive got have the timeing cover have way off. I just cant get the crank pully off it just turns the motor over. The crank sensor is soaked in oil from what i can see. Dose the cam sensor have anything todo with spark cause it is soaked too.

to get the crank bolt loose you have 2 alternatives: the starter bump method, where you put a wrench on the crank bolt and lay it on the subframe and just bump the starter for 1/2 second; or the gear method, where you put the trans in 4th and put the park brake on and then loosen the bolt.

the cam sensor does tell the pcm how to time the spark - is your tach working okay? if the tach is acting wierd, typically the cam sensor is bad.

the tach did mess up and kept jumping then spun all the way around and is now touching the back side of the needle. it started one time after that and then three hours later i had no spark at all. so if the cam sensor is bad i will not have spark?

if the cam sensor is bad, you will have spark, but it may not be timed correctly.

if you have no spark, you have the possible causes I listed in my first post.

and, as usual, you may very well have multiple problems simultaneously.

Ok changed the crank and cam sensor and it fired right up. Now the only problem is my tach is still on the bottem side of the of the needle. Does anybody know if I have to take the gauges out to fix this or is there a different way to fix this?

you could remove the clear plastic cover from the front of the gauge panel and lift the tach needle around the peg and hope that takes care of it.
