hey, everyone - hoping to find a miracle. I'm in desperate need of the main PCM harness that runs from the computer at the firewall around the back if the engine up to the fan...

...PCM died and nut was stripped so it couldn't be separated. Ultimately had to cut it out and would rather not try to splice everything back together.

Mike (SHOSource) is looking through his stash but figured it didn't hurt to ask here as well.

Does anyone have a parts car or engine that might have this section of harness?

thanks in advance!

Send a message to Dan Barbush, SV&HOdan on the forum, and see if he has something laying around. Has sold used parts over a long period of time. Use the envelope icon on the header top right. Also try the SHO group on facebook. They have members that are active but are on there more often than here.

For future search...If there is way to cut, smoosh, drill out, anything to the bolt head so you can remove it without compromising the harness plug function, do that. You can always find a size and thread pitch bolt with enough length and a washer to take its place. Stuff like year specific harnesses are not so easy to find.

yeah trust me I tried...even with the intake off I couldn't dremel or cut the bolt off in a way I could get it out. I'm kicking myself on that daily.

Looks like the 93 harness won't work so still looking...

Yeah what's done is done.
I just wanted to warn people to try everything. Did you try drilling it through the middle of the bolt? I would have considered drilling it with progressivly larger diameter bits until the head was so hollow I could work it or the diameter made the bolt shaft so weak it broke off. The threaded hole flat piece that attaches to the other side of the harness bolt, inside the pcm, has been known to come loose from the case and just spin so you can't easily remove it.

I would even cut through the pcm and get the bolt to detach from there. There are way more available pcm options than locating harnesses.

Again, this is for anyone searching in the future.

I might have a portion of it from a 91. I kept it to try and make an engine run stand.

Mike (SHOSource) said I needed a 90 or 91. Paid a guy but pretty sure I got ripped off. Will update soon but likely gonna need a backup plan. Appreciate everyone who's reached out so far. I'll be in touch as soon as I know what's up.

Thanks!

My 91 harness. For some reason the MAF section appears to have been cut and spliced but otherwise seems complete. Car was running when it was removed.

All - I'm still looking. There are scammers in abundance trying to rip me off and being very weird about payment. I thought this place was old and under the radar enough to trust folks, but I'm getting really tired of having to dispute and cancel payments.

If you have a harness, please reply here. I will no longer respond to DMs or direct emails. If someone wants to screw with me, they'll have to do it publicly.

See that 237? That's mostly bots. Most are probably indexing, but trust me there are scams there too.
