Looking if its Possible...Do they mount the Same? Will the 89 Dash work with 92 Door Panels (Not that it really matters). Sound weird? Yes...But the 89 Dash is perfect for Modifying as far as setting up gauges, Switches...etc.

Don't know, but I like '89 dash better that all other G1 & G2 years.

I have often considered just taking off the whole front bezel on a Gen2 dash and replacing with aluminum.

The 89 SHO was such a nice car in so many ways, and the dash was a big part of it.
I had an 86 wagon early on, and I am pretty sure it was the same dash in it, so a dash shell may be easy to find.

Yes, '86-'89 SLO"s had the same style dash, but part of the cluster bezel was diff in appearance, most if not all were a woodgrain type finish, the SHO's bezel is tons better looking. They also had atleast a few diff colors, the SHO only had gray, but I think the steering wheel/dash trim pieces were still black like the SHO.
