New tires, ended up going with Nitto NT555R2’s all the way around and picked 285/30/20 from their 20” selection. A lot less beefy! Maybe a little too less beefy if I’m being honest but it will work. I’m not concerned about the sidewall for launching, Nitto knows what they’re doing, I’ll rest my concerns on their R&D and the fact that they offer this size for a reason. If I don’t have traction with Traction Concept LSD conversions front and rear and with this wide of a stance on 4 drag radials tires it won’t be bc of my sidewall . 597470AF 7E3F 460E BC18 9EA92FBD7AA8A3E1BABA 47CF 4A6E B704 8E99319D92F1

Still trying to get the front lower. A must is adjustable end links front and rear. FB1B20AE 5474 4601 8299 121B1EACB05709B3B50A AE4B 44A7 8025 449147F609AF0D9321BC 1C22 4D2F 803F FC1C9898704A6A94FC49 4AA5 495C A584 577E7203EE63D632415F DB35 459E B434 E3318509A80A

how long before we get to see a vid of it running?
Probably a couple months. Depends on what Helix says about clutch ETA’s. I’ve waited this long I would be annoyed to get it running finally then want to take it all back apart again to do a quick clutch install which I’ll have a shop do.

The CF trunk is going to be done in maybe just a few weeks. Nick hasn’t taken on a project quite this big and he really didn’t have the climate for it over the winter for it to make any sense to work on it. But now things have warmed up a bit and he’s getting ready to have this done.

This is a two layer trunk, inner and outer shell/layer that he will permanently bond here soon. Still needs to do the outer shell that everyone will see. But this inner shell has a lot going on, not the easiest piece to replicate either. There’s 3 seems in this to get it to conform right. So here it is now, with the outer edges trimmed and cleaned up. Next step is to sand the whole thing and it’ll be ready for clear coat. Once that’s complete he’ll do the outer mold, and do a test fit on my car with the two shells temporarily together, making sure fitment is where we want it before permanently bonding them. Front tow strap installed, Ben welded a m10x1.25 threaded tube into the custom crash bar from Jordan and I added a 10.9 bolt 40mm long. Then has to cut a slot out of the bumper for it. @bpd1151. 5DD505F2 A27F 4AAD 99C9 DE8E3275AB40768EE267 B43A 4D84 81DB D058C4ED742E
Whiteline adjustable end links arrived still waiting for the rear swaybar. Needed something up to 350mm length partly in due to the Aitekk strut end link hole higher than normal to boot with dropping the car down so low. 99C7C082 C89B 48D7 B437 F9B0EA1C2FDA
When the rear swaybar comes in I’ll install the rear adjustable links to match. I lowered the strut another 3/4” and wow is it slammed now!! I may need to raise it back up 1/4” and/or cut a little bit of plastic off the inside edge of the fender flare, the tire is proud in one spot. But for now it looks killer! Splitter is 1-7/8” off the ground. 4CD8F5E9 7D4A 47B5 94C0 71E44D5EBA86282FC67A 24E0 4540 83A2 1D7082528242

I would ask Andrew to refrain from posting any additional pics, as each time he does, I inevitably drop another load.

But at my age, and the rate he continues to post new, hot, sexy @$$ car p.0rn pics, I'll just end up shooting out pixie dust.

Good Lord.

I haven’t done too much to the car as I wait for clutches, brakes and thermal wrap. I did start the exterior graphic design that I’ve been itching to do. Taking the Hoonicorn as inspiration IMG 8468
And this rally car that literally is just the initials JC all over it…IMG 8390
I decided to do something similar. The Hoonicorn appears to be a whole livery wrap (I think) or it’s just random pieces cut out of gloss black and maybe the car is matte black…or vice versa..so I chose Vvivid Matte Metallic Black (ghost). The metallic and reflective (ghost) part of it really shine under light making it appear silver when in fact it’s not. And from the JC decal rally car I decided to do Scream Masks. 70437809910 F783F49C C0A3 4E22 924E B63ECC8C43B8

My GF’s daughter Logan (just turned 21) cut the scream masks for me with her Cricut machine with my supplied vinyl. I was thinking of doing just scream masks all over but instead decided to do the masks + random shapes like the Hoonicorn. Combining the two. First scream mask went down pretty easy IMG 8559
Then I started adding some random shapes IMG 8563
The plastic on the car was protecting it from compound fling/dust. I wet sanded a bunch of areas on the front end (fenders/hood/bumper/chin spoiler) and paint corrected it with a heavy compound, polish…then wiped down with rubbing alcohol before I laid down the pieces. I bought some real ceramic that can be used on matte or gloss vinyl. Once I’m done with the front end I’ll coat with ceramic coat then move on to the doors. Almost done with the front end. Bringing Paul Rands unused Ford Logo from 1966 back from the dead. I dig it. Looks futuristic, apparently way too futuristic for 1966 but I think it suits todays day and age quite nicely, and on my build. IMG 8688

Trunk update: inside is done I’m going to vinyl wrap the outside and my OEM spoiler is going back on.

I have a GH torque converter now.
I assume you are lining up the arrival of the Helix friction pads for this rebuild - how very exciting. Too bad you cant get some corporate sponsorship breaks on pricing to put the vendors logos on the car... just a thought.

I am supposed to get a discount on Helix’s clutches. Going to do their logo as a windshield banner. I did get a discount from Xtreme-DI for their injectors a while back, free 35 to EVO upgrade and a free t-shirt. Traction Concepts gave me a discount for installing their lsd in my rdu and a free hat. I don’t need any discounts to rep a brand I use, that I believe in. Anything is nice. I just continue to force my car to be more than it was ever intended to be and that includes with or without corporate sponsors.
