Drove it like 6 miles maybe. Still not confident to go too far from the house. No oil splatter. Turbos aren’t smoking. I think I solved the issue. I’ll have to check again and remove an oil return hose just to be sure. It’s really not that hard so I could frequently check.

Did a log for Brad finally. Back to the 1st revision and BBK TB. I had tried a second revision to see if we could raise idle rpm but it didn’t make any difference so I went back to the original tune.

Only issue it seems now is an oil leak on the rear valve cover, appears to be from under the PCV canister, closest to Firewall. Drips on my rear exhaust manifold. I’ll have to grab the bull by the horns and just remove the valve covers and replace all the seals and gaskets.

Was able to snap some pics out on my test drive IMG 2781IMG 2775IMG 2777IMG 2776IMG 2784IMG 2785IMG 2789IMG 2795IMG 2802IMG 2805IMG 2811IMG 2812IMG 2814IMG 2817IMG 2816

Great news, sorry about the valve covers. Small setback I hope at this point. She is a beauty, and fierce looking.

PS can I have your headlights?

How does she feel Andrew? Give us a seat of pants review.
Despite the bugs Ive been experiencing and slowly eliminating it really does feel fantastic what little mileage I’ve done. Still trouble shooting my Works Bell paddle shifters so in Drive the car quickly shifts and it feels effortless, smooth as butter. The exhaust fender exits are loud but somehow not as loud as I expected. Watching my boost gauge I don’t think I’ve done more than 3-4 psi and in lower rpm in 3rd gear mostly. It gets up to speed quickly. When I just did a log for Brad I moderately gave 3rd gear a 2500-4,000 rpm pull and looking down I’m going over 60 and I feel like the car is hardly trying. It felt like was going faster than it tried. The stance of the car feels so glued to the road, the massive 20x10.5 wheels, 305 wide tires and custom 2.5” spacers made to the cars hub bore and to the wheels hub bore, with new wheel bearings, axles….its so smooth, no vibration whatsoever. The all metal modified top trans mount makes it feel tight and crisp..it’s all connected so tight, as one.

When I did the brake pad bed-in process, moderate acceleration after slowing down from 60 to 5 mph, back up to 60 it was very strong for half throttle. A feeling when you know it’s got a lot more in it while it effortlessly accelerates. On just wastegate spring I think it will peak about 12 psi boost….I think that is going to feel very fast when I get to that point. And that will be about 1/3 of what I will ask from it. It felt like a better drive with the intake vacuum sources directly to the brake booster and boost solenoid instead of shared. Even free revving just to 3,000 rpm sounded amazing. I also gave my BOV a larger ID hose and I think that also made an improvement. I’m still learning the new setup. I can’t wait to take it further.

Baby steps till you're absolutely sure it's all good. So amazing what you've accomplished. Soon you'll have to put her up for the winter again and that'll give you more time to check all the mods and be sure.

Unfortunately it’s supposed to snow today or definitely tomorrow so I think that time has come. Over the winter I plan to add the 2 piston rear calipers and Voodoo13 hydraulic hand brake, finish the exterior wrap, do something in the rear either another diffuser and/or add back the Lowe plastic trim, valve covers removed maybe just have the PCV canister ports deleted with block off plates welded and -10 AN for the VTA catch tank.

It sounds (& looks) like it is quite literally.....

SNARLING

As if daring competitors that line up next to her..... being it on!

Goodness, a sweet audio symphony to one's ears.

Perhaps "EARGAZM" should be the vehicle' registration. Love it!
