Theres an 89, 91, 95, 96, and 97 SHO in U Pull and Pay junkyard in West Palm. All 3 gen1,2's are manual. I already took a tranny off one, the rest have them still.

I just whent to the southern one sunday and didn't see shit. I got a 93 Lincoln Mk8 MAF and called it a day and didn't goto the other one. Sucks cause the northern one is almost twice as expensive.....

guess I'm going for broke this weekend, I need some parts! I'm almost thinking of parking this thing and taking my bicycle to work cause I got so many problems adding up lol...

Yep, its the northern one on benoist farms.

Charged around 130. To bad I don't have spare time, I'd take em all and sell/deliver them.

My hands are full with work and the showagon project I got going. So I don't have time to go again and look again, just letting everyone know!!

I'll look, are you talking about the exterior window trim pieces?

also what do you need, 93 style or 95 style....... is there any difference between gen1 and gen2? I don't think so

even down here most are starting to go bad, I usually keep good ones I find for myself... makes a huge difference to change out bubbling ones!

gen 1 passenger front is what I need, but just about everyone in michigan with a 89-95 Taurus needs window guides. The window moulding/guide gets bubbles because there is a mild steel rib that runs through it; that rusts. The rear doors on gen2s have a tendancy to rust so bad, they turn into white rust/salt dust from the inside-out. The rest of the door could be cherry, but the window guide will be powder.

It starts in the corner by the handle and ends by the mirror. It's not SHO specific (on gen1s, at leat). You need to remove the door panel, insulating plastic and window roller channels (about 45 seconds in a JY). Then there's a lower nut, by the rear of the door that holds the lower guide on. Carefully remove the lower guide and see how far you can throw it. A couple more fasteners, and it's a matter of wriggling the guide loose so it doesn't crease.

I found a nice drivers side here in Detroit a few months ago and it took about 10 minutes to get out.

I bet if you scouted them out, you could find a bunch. Put up a "guaging interest" thread, name a price, and start taking orders.

That goes for you west coasters, too. These things should be a SHOforum commodity.

Oh I think I know what your talking about. I thought one nut holds them and they just slide out. Quickly. If thats the case, easy. A lot of them here are bubbly to cause of the heat. Can you take a picture and circle it. If its what I think it is.

yeah I'm with CHrisM

it sounds like you are talking about the exterior part that runs along the bottom of the window, on the 93's and earlier it has chrome trim, on the 94 and 95 its a different style and is all black.......

this is the part thats always bubbling, but it comes off different then you describe. it only has one or two nuts that hold it on, just opening the door up you can find them and they easily come off.... I was suprised how easily those parts change, i thought it woulda been a hassle

Nope. That's called the whisker (at least by me). What we need are the moulded window guides...the channel that the window slides in. removing them does take a little practice but they aren't hard once you've done a couple.
Here's a pic

Well, I personally don't think the whiskers get as bubbled up as the guides do but if you're pulling door trims, might as well snag the whiskers if they're nice.
