Well, we are doing it again this Spring! The date is Saturday May 8th at Lapeer Dragway:

http://www.lapeerdragway.com/

Saturdays are Test-N-Tune, and for $25 you can get a LOT of runs in. Please note that a helmet is required for all cars running. Any helmet will do, and they also rent helmets at the track for $5.

It will be our "usual" routine of a gathering at Big Buck (in Auburn Hills) on Friday night, the track on Saturday, then dinner in Lapeer on Saturday after the track.

If anyone needs hotel info, email me, but there are a lot of hotels near Big Buck in Auburn Hills on Opdyke, like Motel 6, Holiday Inn Express, Marriott Courtyard (walking distance to Big Buck).

I will also post this to the various SHO lists, but any car is welcome!

We also hold a Fall Meet at Lapeer in the October timeframe, for those who can't make it.

Looks like the turnout will be decent, as they are some out-of-state folks planning on coming in for the weekend.

Those folks in town will be at Big Buck (Opdyke just south of University in Auburn Hills) on Friday night, and we will probably end up back there after dinner on Saturday night. Dinner on Saturday will be at the West Street Grille (formerly Firewater Willies) next to the Best Western in Lapeer:

Just hoping for good weather!!

Ron, I'm planning on attending and could perhaps make this a first meet for my club as well.

Question though, I didn't see it on their website, but if a person isn't racing how much is entry to just watch?

$25 to run

$10 to watch

And every racer needs a helmet....they rent them for $5.

I'll be there just because I am only an hour away and I will be bored more than likely. :)

Maybe I'll run the Ranger, poor thing. :)

Cool, I'll be there but no racing for me. I do have a helmet, but I also have a slipping clutch. :madflame:
