i'm a newbie on this site so please bear with me on this. i did search first and have some info to start on. i have the opportunity to pickup a 93 SHO (3.2) cheap, trannie's dead. i want to use this as a swap candidate. i have always been impressed by the SHO's. i wish to place a t-5 behind it (unless there is a more suitable candidate for rear drive). this is what i've found is required so far:
- 3.0 clutch & flywheel (SHO only? ranger/b II work also?)
- 3.0 aerostar bell(manual only?,can auto bell be modified if necessary?)
-will 2.8 bronco II bell work, they are reputed to be same as 3.0?
- adapter plate-make or use adv. adapters plate for 2.8 bronco II
what else needs to be addressed here? i do have experience doing something on this level. i did my own t-5 conversion to a 170 inline six for my 64 ranchero before i had access to these forums. i have two possible recipients for this motor; one would see hard offroad use, so durability is an issue. i came here because if anyone knows, it will be here.
