I realize this is a stupid question but how do I tell if I have a 3.0 or 3.2?

In the car or out? 3.2 cars are automatic trans & 3.0 came with manual. Unless someone swapped the engine before you got it.

Look at the coil pack. 3.0 sits flat. 3.2 sits slightly sloped.

3.2 will have a DPFE mounted on the back side of the intake. 3.2 uses a single belt accessory drive system, 3.0 uses 2 belts. 3.2 has coolant overflow bottle mounted inside the fender behind the battery, 3.0 has coolant bottle mounted next to radiator.

All this info is moot if a swap has been done though.

Thanks for the help! I don't understand why someone would want to swap a 3.0 instead of 3.2 unless it was out of convenience. I'm betting mine is 3.2 because I bought it from the original owner and he didn't mention anything about that.

If it is a 1993-95 and has an automatic, it is a 3.2, end of story. If it's a 5spd manual, it came stock with a 3.0L V6. Some folks, in modifying their 5spd models, have added the 3.2 block for a little more grunt. If this is done, the original owner would have most likely have pointed this out as a selling point. :salute:
