3.0 Accy belt adjustment.

What sorts of techniques are people using to adjust the accessory belt on an MTX? I don't want to overtension mine but the A/C chirps periodically as it is. Either the compressor is failing (or something) or the belt needs to be tighter still.

Chilton's doesn't help here...

As a "rule of thumb" press on the longest section of the belt between two pulleys and the deflection should be about a quarter of an inch.

Belts will also squeel when they are worn or glazed. rangerj
