a few weeks ago, as i was driven on the highway, my rim came flying off. at 85 mph thats not a good thing, im lucky no one was hurt and the car wasnt to badly banged up, the bad thing was i couldnt find the rim anywhere and i bent the fender(95 north by potomac mills va if any one wants a rim.lol). so heres the thing, dose the 2nd gen SHO and Taurus have the same front finders? i was looking at at Taurus today and i cant see why not. the SHO has the full swoop down panel that clips/screws in and the Taurus just has the side molding that clips in. can any one help me out here cuz i have looked for about 2 weeks and cant find anything that says it will or will not work.thanks for your time.

On a second Gen SHO (92-95) only a fender from either a SHO or a Sable will work. The normal Taurus fenders are different.

If you want a fender, go down to Norfolk and hit up B&G salvage on rt. 13 down southwest of portsmouth. I know for an absolute fact that they have over two dozen SHOs of every color, and every gen.

They are different. You might try placing a WTB ad or browsing thru the Car parting classifieds. Sounds like a damn shame... any indication why it flew off? Broken lug? Hope you can find what you need

Chesterfield Auto Parts in Richmond had a black g2 with everything but the interior (it was gutted already) a few weeks ago when I was up there, though it's probably been crushed by now.

edit: Good to know about the Norfolk place, my sister lives in Newport News and I think it's 'bout time I put her to work :naughty: I'll be fixing her 626 over Thanskgiving break anyway so she owes me (she rearended someone who doesn't know how to yield).

yea i know why the wheel came off. i took it to a shop. i never take my cars to the shop but for tires. the idiots over tighten the lugs so they snapped. im lucky the rotors are just the right size to not let the body and undercarriage hit the ground.

:shakehead: That's a damn shame, but at least you're ok. I like to loosen my nuts and retorque them after a shop has its hands on my cars for that reason and cause of rotor warping.
