Yep, you read it correct!!! A 2nd gear scratch in an automatic....That's what my friend who's got a 95 SHO says happens to him on occations. He's got a sweet lookin GenII, but he won't stop tormenting me by letting me know that his GenII is faster then my GenIII. I told him that I agree that his 95 is more torquie(sp?) than my 98, but I would like to see who's reaches 140+ first!!!! He asked me, "what would you do if mine won in all areas"? I told him that I would just have to give up.....and run him over with my cable van. :) :)

Lame question.. ...Anyone may answer, but you have to answer the way I want you too.. Are the GenI & IIs faster then the IIIs (must answer no, 'cause I've got a GenIII) :) :)

Just something to talk about. :D
Any SHO is a sweet car, no mater what Generation.
They may not be the fastes cars out there, but they are a rare breed and I am proud to have the name SHO on the ash end of my car!! thumbs_u

yeah, the I's and II's are generally quicker, but I've taken both before and I think in the long haul the III is a bit longer-legged.

The III is a better cruiser, hands down, but the II's and I's are more beastly.

I like the III's a bit more because they are alot more unique.

All depends on the driver my freind. All 3 Gens are equal with in 5-10 hp. Ive reaced PLENTY of GEN 1 and 2, beat them all execpt 1 95 MTX that was bone stock with a paper filter.

I think Mr Thomas could give you a better answer.

I raced a '94 ATX at the track a few weeks ago and I had him off the line and he pulled on me at the end. He won but not by much. One of the closest races I've ever had. But he did have a few mods and I've got nothing but a K&N.

I have a "new" 32K mile engine in my 96 and it is much stronger than the original engine that came with my 96 when I bought it. It has no problem burning those tires up and if I get on it hard, yes it will chirp 2nd gear. My original engine did this twice but this engine can do it quite easily if I give it gas.

I can get my tires to chirp going 1-2... Not full throttle. Probably not good for the tranny, but i can't help doing it occasionally
