215/60/16 for winter tire?

Anyone have any feedback on whether a 215/60/16 would be a problem on a stock 97 SHO wheel?
I ask because in the 225/55/16 stock size, the selection of winter tires is less than the 215/60/16 size. Also, the Dunlop Graspic DS-1 tire is almost $20 less in the 215/60 than in the 225/55 sizes.

I noticed on the tire size calculator that a 215/60/16 tire is about 1/2" taller than a 225/55/16 tire.

215 is the width......55 is the height profile as a ratio....and 16 is the rim.

going ten on the first # either way is ok. in fact, the narrower the winter tire...usually the better

bigger profile...go as big or as small as you want...just make sure it fits. smaller will make the ride harder, and bigger will use more of the wheel well. in some cases..bigger may help to prevent wheel spin as much.

It should fit fine. But your speedo is going to be registaring wrong. Bridgestone makes Blizzaks in the OEM size. I am going to try those this winter, myself.
