Ok sounds good!! Do you have the Sony system? That's what we have. I will probably pull it out and get it ready to ship out tomorrow. Did you fully put the dash back together while waiting for it to come back?
Yes, Sony based system. I did confirm with the repair facility that they did repair that, as I had read the post earlier in this thread that one shop had noted that as one not being worked on. My part number was not listed on their website specifically, but the site also noted it was a partial list.

I did fully re-assemble the dash, aside from the 4 fasteners that held the ACM into the dash, as we needed to drive the car in the interim. There were some warnings that 911 assist and a couple other things, that showed up, but have not kept us from still using the vehicle.

Update: My unit hit their shop on Thursday 10/3. Received e-mail on 10/4 that my shipment is on the way back to me. Expecting Tuesday arrival according to the tracking info. That is a pretty impressive turn-around time, I have to admit. More info once I see the repaired unit.

Repaired unit is back in my hands. arrived a day earlier than expected. Unfortunately, I don't know that I will have time to re-install before the weekend.

Decided to slip away from work and install the repaired unit yesterday afternoon. Having taken the dash apart before, this time it went MUCH quicker. Had the dash opened up and ACM back in the car in under 30 minutes, and about 15 minutes to put the dash back together.

Verdict: It works. Have run into an issue (potentially) with my Sirius subscription. It's now in trial mode, so there is some sort of re-learn or something needed. I did send e-mail to the repair shop just to see if their experience has shown this before. Preparing to find my original subscription info in case I have to work with Sirius to restore. But everything else is restored as needed, music, dash beeps, etc.

Played hooky the rest of the afternoon and cleaned/organized in the garage for the rest of the day.

Out there somewhere
You may need to log in to your Sirius account and send a reactivation to the radio. Also, it's possible the Sirius radio ID changed. In that case you would deactivate the old one and activate the new one. You should be able to do this in your Sirius account. So, first I would verify the radio ID.

Got the unit back on Saturday, installed and everything works 100%! Can't recommend them enough!! Just curious what they actually repaired, no invoice was included but just happy we have audio again!

Pretty sure that there are some 'cold' solder joints that they just re-do. I had read of some people trying DIY by heating the unit in effort to get the solder to re-flow. This is not that uncommon of a manufacturing problem, I don't think. I had a laptop a few years ago that had similar issue. It has to be something quick to be able to locate and turn the repair around as quick as they do. Glad to hear it worked for you also.
