So I recently bought a SHO and the trunk latch doesn't work. I replaced the latch and no help. When I am in the car I can hear the relay type click in the car but it doesn't open. When I open the trunk and push the trunk open on the key fob I hear the latch click. Now, if I manually close the latch and the trunk light goes off I got nothing. No click. Any ideas?

Update...all fuses are good. I watched the light in the trunk and when I push the trunk release on the key fob the light goes out and you can hear the control module behind the glove box click. Still won't open though

Never heard of a trunk not opening/unlocking. Your saying your pressing the button on dash you hear a click, you press the trunk button on fob and can hear the click, but trunk remains locked? There is a third button, it's right above your license plate, you have to have a fob on you when you press that one, if you hear latch click but you can't open trunk, look at the trunk lid itself, might be a foreign object on latch bar. Just a guess.

check battery health. when else fails, that can be found to be the culprit. both fob and vehicle.

I tried the button and heard the click in the control module in the car but the latch still does not work. I did hook a power pen to all the pins and have power where it needs. Funny thing is if I push hard enough on the purple wire pin it opens. I'm wondering if I need to redo the connection

Sounds like the solution. At Least you narrowed it down.
