So i have been trying to swap out the stock interior and exterior lights with LED bulbs. I have succeeded with interior bulbs but as for the exterior im having a hard time finding the License Plate bulbs. I ordered them from superbrightled.com and the bulbs that came do not fit. After a little bit of research I believe i need a festoon bulb for the license plate but i dont know which length (mm) to get, anyone know the specifications? And any idea what bulbs are that are under the sideview mirrors?

Yea i bought a set of the 168's for the license plate bulbs but they do not fit. It seems to be a festoon bulb just like the puddle lights but the sizing might be different. I will pull the bulb out soon and take a look at it for oem writing.

I use these for my license plate lights. I got a 13 though but I'm sure they would work

I think you need to check your owner's manual to determine the specified bulb. You can also look up the bulb number online. Additionally, you can contact an auto-parts store or a dealer Like Eurobahn, provide them with information on your vehicle, and find out the correct replacement bulb.

Examine the license-plate bulb lens to determine what type of tool you'll need, and then acquire the appropriate tool. In most cases, you'll need either a Phillips or a flat-head screwdriver. In other cases, you might need a wrench. Also, look at the license plate itself; determine what type of tool you'll need to remove the bolts or screws from it.

Remove the bolts or screws from the license-plate bulb lens. Grasp the lens and pull it off. On the back, you'll find the license-plate bulb. Pull the bulb straight out of its socket.

Wrap the new bulb in a paper towel, or wear gloves to keep from touching the glass. Insert the replacement bulb into the socket. Place the license-plate bulb lens back into place. Tighten the screws or bolts. And at last reposition the license plate.
