Ok, this may not be the best place to ask about suspension (and any other performance modifications) to an '02 Taurus but, if it's not, maybe somebody can point me in the right direction.

My '02 3.0 24V Taurus SEL is my first Ford. This is a pretty slick car, and I'm liking it more and more all the time.

I'll add a K&N air filter, and would like to do something with the exaust (cat back?) and muffler, while keeping the noise down. (Are duals even an option?)

But I'd really like to work on the suspension, trading the limo-like ride for something a little firmer, and definitely flatter. There is a lot of body roll in this car, and brisk curves are less than condifence inspiring.

Anti-sway bars, stiffer springs, and heavy-duty shocks/struts are the first items on the list. But I can't find a thing for my Taurus. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Any ideas or directions on where to look to tighten up my ride? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You might want to try www.tauruscarclub.com if you haven't already.

I test drove a 2002 SES and liked it alot. But my credit is to bad to get one. Therefore I'm jealous.

My SHO has cost me over $4,000 since I got it in 2000 and it still has things wrong. It only has 53,000 miles and I really want to ditch it.

Fuller911,

Looks like you have done all the preventive maintenance to it now. So Enjoy the car they great. Every car has it problems trust me. But to give you an idea I have 1998 SHO bought it at Bob Allen in KC Kansas w/65K and I now have 112K on the motor and tranny...... I have yet to weld my cams, and I have took it drag racing in KCIR alot and I have seen high speeds quite a few times. So, basicaly I am saying you should pass me in the mileage catigory with no worries now.

Enjoy the car.......
