constant misfires on cyl 2 with 0 compression and leakdown indicating exhaust valve leakage. never seen this issue with these engines, what do y’all think? will be pulling the head but my dad recommended “italian tuneup”, or running it to redline as an attempt to reseat valve if carbon is the issue. babied it home right as misfire started and haven’t driven it since. i’m worried i’ll break something and drop the valve into the cylinder. worth a shot or no?

on an interference engine? Nope. It may be too late but running the **** out of it probably won't help unless SHOboom is of interest. Have you tried getting a cheap bore scope and taking a look around at some of the valves?

Articulating bore scope 5mm will do you good. If carbon is the issue you will see it and more than likely an issue - however zero compression in 2 - look over the oil for milky color - also by the oil filter is a weep hole for the water pump, look for leakage.

There are bore scopes with two cameras so you can see to the side. Mine allows me to see valves.

My borescope came with several different end pieces. One of them was a mirror mounted at a 45 degree angle. That allows the borescope to see at right angles to the camera body.
